Up To Speed Bypass
This is an example of a large HP capacity digital solid state starter utilizing an up to speed bypass. By utilizing this bypass the system runs more efficiently since the SCRs are not carrying the load, and by also doing this we can install the starter in a Nema 12 non-vented enclosure to protect the components from the plant environment.
